Bio

Shruti is an Indian/Irish actor, originally from New Delhi India, living in Ireland for the last 29 years. She’s based in Wicklow/ Dublin.

Her credits include her performance as Dr Monika Patel in RTE’s longest running soap, Fair City. The docu-drama-feature film “Surrender Your Horns” directed by Bryony Dunne in which she played the part of a fertility scientist, Dr En, had its world premiere at the Galway Film Fleadh on the 7th of July 2022. It has since been screened at the IFI Dublin in July 2023 and the Mermaid Arts theatre, in county Wicklow in September 2023. She played the role of a Nurse for the TV series Redemption that was telecast on UTV & Virgin Media in early 2022, and detective Dani Deakins in the short film Tempvs, directed by Jason Branagan. The feature film “Who We Love” directed by Graham Cantwell in which Shruti played the part of Ms Carter, the school counsellor, premiered  on the 24th of July 2021 at the Galway film Fleadh, and on the 4th of July 2022 in Dublin. Shruti has previously appeared in the short film “Her Voice in Him” directed by Samantha Castro, and also in the Music Video “Hoplite Armour” directed by Laura Way (of Eastenders) and the music video “Time is Ticking Out” by the Cranberries, directed by the late Dolores O’Riordon. She has also worked as a Radio Presenter (Dublin South FM and Dublin City FM) & narrator for the RTE series Mono.
